How Does My Chamber of Commerce Work for Me and My Business?

The goal of your Chamber is to promote the commercial, industrial, civic, cultural, and general interests of your city and region. To accomplish this, action committees explore every avenue and possibility. These committees usually include those working in the areas of membership, citizenship, publicity, civic affairs, and retail promotions. Every individual, firm, and professional derives direct benefit in a growing, stable economy. Such an economy is a result, in part, of your Chamber's efforts.

What is it?

Your Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary organization of citizens who are investing their time and money in a community development program--working together to improve the economic, civic, and cultural well-being of the area. Any citizen who is interested in helping to develop the area (which means more money and more business, more jobs and better living for everyone) is eligible to be a member of the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce. The dues structure is designed to permit even the smallest business to become a member. The work of The Chamber is financed by the investment of its members who support it on the basis of their ability to pay and their interest in the progress of the area. The Chamber of Commerce is composed of committee members, directors, and officers who serve without pay. The Chamber Manager is the only paid employee.

Who are members?

All who want to improve the community are eligible for membership--firms, individuals, businessess, industries, or professionals. A membership in the Chamber of Commerce is an investment in a better local community. The Hamilton Chamber of Commerce needs your support. In order to promote growth in our area, we must all work together as a team! The Chamber of commerce meets the 1st Monday of each month at 6:00 pm at the Chamber office. We publish a monthly newsletter, and have various articles published in our local newspaper. The Hamilton chamber of Commerce actively participates in many events and areas including:

• Annual promotion and coordination of the Dove Festival, Pageant, Parade and awards for the participants
• Annual Awards banquet and awards for the Recipients of the Year
• Christmas Parade and awards for the participants
• July 4th Celebration Parade
