Helping Employees

Human Resources provides services in the areas of personnel, training, benefits administration, occupational safety and health for city employees. In addition, the department provides policy direction on human resource management issues and administrative support to city departments.

The department implements and manages the recruitment and selection of permanent and temporary city employees, including but not limited to:

  • Drug screening process
  • Employee performance evaluations 
  • Maintenance of personnel records 

The Human Resources Department also administers the employee benefits programs.
